A gift to BirdLife’s Global Flyaways Summit

Peter Harrison donates The Conservation Edition

In September 2026, the BirdLife family convened in Nairobi, Kenya for their quadrennial Partnership Meeting and second Global Flyways Summit. BirdLife’s President, Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado, welcomed people from around the world including 120 global BirdLife Partners, conservation leaders, governments, funders, and private sector delegates. The Global Flyways Summit aims to advance an innovative and integrated approach to regional conservation collaboration to save species and sites, halt the loss of nature, and fight the climate crisis.

Peter Harrison was honored to donate an autographed copy of his limited edition, The Conservation Edition—Seabirds: The NEW Identification Guide, to the Global Flyways Summit to raise funds for their conservation programs.

Princess Takamado of Japan, President of BirdLife International, presents The Conservation Edition—Seabirds: The NEW Identification Guide to the successful bidder.
